Meet Grace Perez, PA-C: full time fertility specialist, part time pickleball player and plant lover. All kidding aside, Grace does love her plants, but maybe that comes from her love of growing things…which, lucky for us, includes families.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences at Furman University in Greenville SC, Grace went on to earn her Master’s in Medical Science at Mercer University in Atlanta, GA. During PA school, Grace completed eleven clinical rotations in various medical specialties. After graduation, she worked for two years in the specialty of urology. Pursuing a career in women’s health was always a goal and Grace joined the team of specialists at Reach Fertility in 2021. Her previous experience plays an important role at Reach, where specialists often treat both male and female fertility issues.
A Personal Approach to Fertility Care
Grace understands there can be some trepidation about becoming a fertility patient. When speaking about the patient journey Grace said, “the first time I meet a patient it’s important for me to make them feel validated in their fertility journey thus far and give them hope for the process moving forward.” Taking the time to review a patient’s history, learn their past experiences and work together to customize a treatment plan is crucial to each patient’s success. Grace believes that having a full understanding of the process often helps ease patient’s nerves. Each specialist at Reach has their own team of nurses; this helps patients to easily connect and build relationships with clinical staff during treatment.
When it comes to specifics, Grace really enjoys working with PCOS patients. A PCOS diagnosis can differ greatly from patient to patient, but the goal is always to provide each patient with information they need to fully understand their diagnosis while providing options to access treatment.
