In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a method of infertility treatment in which the sperm and the egg are combined in a laboratory dish for fertilization to occur.  The resulting embryos are then transferred back to the uterus to develop naturally. Fertility specialist Dr. Seth Katz provides details on this process as well as the two primary components of an IVF cycle – stimulation and suppression.
