REACH Welcomes Lauren N.C. Johnson, MD, MSCE
Dr. Johnson completed her undergraduate training at North Carolina State University, where she was a Park Scholar and graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry. She earned her medical degree from the University of North Carolina, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and graduated with honors. Dr. Johnson completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University Medical Center. During residency, she served as an administrative chief resident, and she was selected to receive the AAGL-sponsored "Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Surgery" award.
After residency, Dr. Johnson completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to her clinical training, she also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, procured over $100,000 in grant funding, and contributed to publication of five peer-reviewed papers. She also worked closely with leaders in the field to develop expertise in oncofertility and fertility preservation. Dr. Johnson is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and board eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
A North Carolina native, Dr. Johnson is an avid runner who also enjoys reading, international travel, and spending time outdoors.

These three REACH physicians were named Charlotte Magazine's "Top Doctors" in the July 2010 issue. This annual peer-recommended roster of 276 physicians in 60 specialties is among the highest acknowledgement for any physician.
